Stockholm Chamber Choir

The Stockholm Chamber Choir (SCC) was formed in 1981 and has since been a prominent and very active choir in Sweden’s capital. Independent in its organisation, SCC performs a wide range of music through its collaboration with many different cultural organisations and institutions. Jakob Grubbström is the ensemble’s conductor and artistic leader since 2021.

SCC's sacred and secular repertoire is broad, including Early Music, traditional Swedish romances (the so-called 'körlyrik'), contemporary music, jazz, and larger classical works for choir and orchestra. We perform regularly throughout Stockholm and act as artist-in-residence at Ulriksdal Palace Theatre and the German Church in Stockholm’s Old Town. Through the years we have performed in Austria, Canada, Russia, Italy, France and Cuba and have received excellent reviews in Sweden and abroad.

Stockholm Chamber Choir’s work has been documented on CD and radio recordings.

Ambition, devotion and heart
Stockholm Chamber Choir is a choir that, with a professional attitude, wants to combine focus and commitment with solidarity and joy. Our singers have classically trained voices and a genuine interest in the continuous development of the voice.
Our regular rehearsal time is on Mondays at 18:30-21:30 in central Stockholm.
